Volunteering at Kingsford Smith School
At Kingsford Smith School we encourage our families and community to become volunteers and appreciate all they do to support our students.
Research shows that children benefit when parents and the community are actively involved in education and school life.
Here are some ways you can help:
- listen to children read in the classroom
- volunteer on sports days and at cultural events
- help to supervise excursions
- get involved in fundraising activities
- join the P&C
- talk to our senior students about your job
- helping in the library
- assisting in the canteen
All volunteers must hold a current "Working with Vulnerable People" card – please note there is no fee for volunteers.
