Allergy Friendly School
Kingsford Smith School is dedicated to maintaining an allergy-friendly environment to safeguard the well-being of students who may be at risk of severe allergic reactions.
Our school canteen offers a nut-free menu, and we strongly encourage parents and guardians to provide nut-free options in their children’s lunchboxes to align with this initiative.
If your child has an allergy, an updated allergy management plan must be completed annually. Additionally, any necessary medication should be provided to the school and kept on-site.
Thank you for your cooperation in helping us create a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
Assemblies
Assemblies are scheduled regularly to foster community and celebrate significant events. For students in Preschool to Year 6, assemblies are held on a three-week rotation as follows: Preschool to Year 2, Years 3 to 5, and Preschool to Year 6. Additionally, Preschool to Year 10 assemblies are held throughout the year to commemorate important occasions such as ANZAC Day and NAIDOC Week.

For students in Years 7 to 10, a Progress Report is also issued at the end of Terms 1 and 3.
- Kindergarten: Students participate in the Performance Indicators in Primary Schools (PIPS) assessment at the beginning and end of the year. PIPS reports are sent home in Terms 1 and 4.
