Welcome to Kingsford Smith School

Kingsford Smith School has been designed to accommodate approximately 1,100 students and up to 110 teaching and ancillary staff. The school opened for students in Preschool to Year 7 in 2009. Kingsford Smith School welcomed students to Year 8 this year. The school will expand progressively each year until the school has students enrolled from preschool to year 10 in 2012. Our high schools and colleges are changing. They are developing plans and programs of study to meet the individual needs of their students. But more needs to be done. We are looking for new and innovative ideas that will help our school system cater better for the aspirations and interests of young people in the ACT. We want to create a connected, integrated education environment that will excite and engage our students and encourage them to adopt the philosophy of lifelong learning.
